2025 was a landmark year for Chenese, defined by growth, purpose, and powerful impact. These accomplishments were made even more inspiring as she achieved them while caring for her father through his declining health and ultimately coping with his passing. Through it all, she demonstrated extraordinary resilience, grace, and strength.
This year, she officially launched the Chenese Lewis PR & Marketing Communications Agency. Stepping boldly into entrepreneurship allowed her to merge her decades of experience in media, branding, and communications into a dynamic agency dedicated to elevating voices and visibility with intention and authenticity.
Chenese remained a trusted voice in community leadership and public engagement. As Immediate Past President and Ambassador for Friends of the Capitol Park Museum, she appeared as a guest on WAFB Channel 9 to promote the 11th Annual Spanish Town Parade Party fundraiser, held to raise critical funds in support of the museum. She also played a key role in advancing cultural education and awareness, serving as Co-Chair of the Friends of the Capitol Park Museum’s inaugural Black History Month Program. In this capacity, Chenese appeared on WBRZ Channel 2, speaking passionately about the importance of celebrating African Americans and honoring their contributions within the local community.
In recognition of her lasting influence in the fashion and body-positivity space, Chenese was honored by Queen Size Magazine as one of the 30 Trailblazing Women in Plus Size Fashion for Women’s History Month, a testament to her decades of advocacy, representation, and industry leadership.
Her influence continued through strategic brand partnerships, as she served as an influencer for Lane Bryant and La-Z-Boy. These collaborations reflected her ability to authentically connect with audiences while promoting representation and lifestyle inclusivity, aligning seamlessly with her personal brand and values.
Leadership remained a central theme throughout the year. Chenese was elected Corresponding Secretary for the Metropolitan Baton Rouge Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., furthering her commitment to advancing Black women through advocacy, service, and public policy. Additionally, she was reappointed to the National Technology Committee for the 2025–2026 term, continuing her work at the national level to support innovation and digital equity.
One of the most meaningful moments of 2025 came when Chenese was named the recipient of the 2025 Excellence in Caregiving Award by Women Working with Women Empowerment (4WE). This deeply personal honor recognized her dedication, compassion, and strength as a caregiver, an experience that profoundly shaped her both personally and professionally.
Closing out the year on a high note, Chenese secured a major client partnership with the inaugural Zachary Mardi Gras Parade, marking a significant milestone for her agency’s growth with even more exciting announcements on the horizon in 2026.
2025 was not just a year of accomplishments, it was a year of perseverance, alignment, and legacy-building. Chenese continues to lead with heart, strategy, and impact, setting the stage for an even greater year ahead.
