Chenese Lewis has been appointed to new community leadership positions with the Friends of the Capitol Park Museum and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Metropolitan Baton Rouge Chapter.

Friends of the Capitol Park Museum appointed Lewis to their Board of Directors. She will serve as the Marketing and Communications Committee Chair and assist with public relations and marketing strategies. Friends of the Capitol Park Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the Capitol Park Museum’s educational mission and public offerings through membership, volunteerism, financial support, and other resources. The Capitol Park Museum is a branch of the Louisiana State Museum, a statewide system of National Historic Landmarks and modern structures across Louisiana, housing thousands of artifacts and works of art reflecting Louisiana’s legacy of historic events and cultural diversity.

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Metropolitan Baton Rouge Chapter also appointed Lewis as the Public Relations Committee Chair. The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Baton Rouge Metropolitan Chapter is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization whose mission is to advocate on behalf of black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education, and economic empowerment. The committee is responsible for all communication and publicity to highlight the chapter’s programs.

In addition to her community involvement, Chenese Lewis is an entertainer, entrepreneur, and the CEO of Chenese Lewis Productions, LLC. She served as President of the National Organization for Women Hollywood Chapter (Hollywood NOW) for two years and has been a national spokesperson for several organizations, to help raise awareness for charitable causes and shed light on prominent issues.
